Legal guarantee and bill 29 guarantee of availability
Legal Guarantee
The law stipulates that every item you purchase is automatically protected by a Legal Guarantee. The Consumer Protection Act provides a warranty on all goods you buy from a merchant. The product must be able to serve its intended purpose for a reasonable period of time.
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, all goods purchased from a merchant must be fit for:
- The purpose for which they are normally intended (section 37 of the Act)
- Normal use for a reasonable period of time, which may vary depending on: the price paid, the terms of the contract, and the conditions of use (section 38 of the Act)
Availability Guarantee – Law 29
At Germain Larivière, with the entry into force of the availability guarantee on October 5, 2025 (Law 29), we want to reassure you: we remain fully committed to supporting and advising you when purchasing your household appliances and electronic devices.
However, since we are not the manufacturer, we cannot guarantee: the availability of spare parts, access to repair service, or information relating to the maintenance or repair of the product.
Statutory warranty of proper functioning
The law requires the manufacturer and the merchant to guarantee the proper functioning of this product for the period indicated below, starting from the date of delivery. This warranty is provided at no cost.
If the product malfunctions during the warranty period, you may contact the manufacturer and/or the merchant. They are required to repair it free of charge.

This warranty is automatically granted under the Consumer Protection Act.
