Legal guarantee and bill 29 guarantee of availability
The law provides a warranty on the goods you buy: they must be able to serve their normal use for a reasonable period of time. The Consumer Protection Act provides a warranty on all goods you buy or rent from a merchant. The goods must be able to serve: the use for which they are normally intended (section 37 of the Act); normal use for a reasonable period of time, which may vary depending on the price paid, the provisions of the contract and the conditions of use (section 38 of the Act). At Germain Larivière, with the implementation of the availability guarantee on October 5, 2025 (law 29), we want to reassure you: we remain fully committed to supporting and advising you when purchasing your appliances and electronics. However, we wish to inform you that, as we are not the manufacturer, we cannot guarantee the availability of spare parts, repair services, or information regarding the maintenance and repair of the product. For more details, you can write to our after-sales service.
